Okay, not really. But today I made up some pretty effing cool music to go with this poem Michael's girlfriend wrote. It's one of those poems where there's no set rhythm or anything, so I wouldn't have thought it possible. But really, wow.

If you haven't ever done this, I suggest it: turn some free-verse nonsense into a song. I can only assume it helps with writing songs later on down the line.

"Tomorrow's Just a Yesterday." It's not exactly free verse, but the lines have different numbers of beats and whatnot. I'm just saying that putting music to free verse stuff is probably good song-exercise.

i absolutely agree! its awesome to experiment with free verse...it can somehow sound a little 'at the drive in'-ish...u just gave me an idea guys... :D
