I was wondering if you all had a favorite riff from a one hit wonder band. I would say that the guitar work in 'Sprit in the Sky' by Norman Greenbaum is pretty solid for a band that never hit again.

Thoughts?

I for some reason remembered this post from a trivia thread. Love that song, or at least his version.

Sorry Zo, I can't agree that Alvin Lee fits into a "One hit Wonder" catagory. Maybe they were before your time. Ten Years After played Woodstock and have a huge following with songs like "Good Morning Little School Girl", "I'm Going Home", "I Woke Up This Morning" and "Choo Choo Mama" to name a few.

One band that comes to mind that had a great riff and couldn't reproduce anything to top it was "The Outfield" with some nice guitar work in "Your Love". Nothing else they tried touched it. One Hit Wonder.

How about 'Monkey Bars' by Coney Hatch? Nice ginding riff....

Can't say that I've ever heard of Bubble Puppy but I LOVE the name :D
