Have'nt seen the term "Inside Picking" or "Outside Picking" posted, so thought I'd share this awesome Alt. Picking technique for those unfamiliar.
To explain the difference, I'll use the "B" and "High E" string as an example.
If you start the downstroke picking the "High E" then upstroke pick the "B" the pick remains inside the two strings, eg. "Inside Picking".
If you start the downstroke picking the "B" then upstroke pick the "High E" the pick goes to the outside of the two strings, eg. "Outside Picking".
Incorporating both techniques in some of your riffs will greatly help anyone struggling to control their Alt. Picking abilities.
Good Luck.

I usually tie my picking to the beat, starting a measure on a downstroke (for rythmic alternate runs). When playing outside rythm, I think of accents rather than the ease of execution (my sound is not heavily distorted, so the downstrokes are typically louder), but I try both inside and outside picking to hear the difference.
Impendance is fruitfull
while the buttons are circled.
