Hmmm...from reading this article I got the feeling I may not even be in the more advantageous location for the 2 hour super-peak, as it says for U.S., New England is optimal. Well at least east for me is looking directly over the Gulf, thus dark skies. And, actually I place a little more emphasis on quality (bright fireballs with glowing trails) over quantity, so I'll still give it a gander.

Hmmm...well I gave it about 1.5 hours, and only saw 5. One short but bright good one, one slightly above average, and 3 dim ones with one of those being a regular stray I think, as it wasn't coming from the radiant. Overall pretty disappointing. Conditions couldn't have been better, not a cloud in the sky...beautiful night nevertheless.

Wasn't good for me either, and I had a better standpoint. I was only outside for 30 minutes and saw a short, dim one, and a longer bright one.

I got to see a few. On the drive back from Trinidad which is about 17 miles. I was up all night with the Wii so I got sidetracked and didn't go out much after 1 am.

I mentioned how conditions were perfect...that also meant an awesome sunset I couldn't pass up.

Yea thats true. Some look awsome in the fall when the leaves change color.
