Hey all...not sure this is the place for this or not.

I am looking to find a nice software package that I can use on my laptop to create drum and bass tracks for to play along with my guitar. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry if this is not the right forum...I really wasn't sure, move as you will.
I use heavy strings, tune low, play hard and floor it. Floor it. That's technical talk.

I use propellerhead's reason. Very nice sequencer, and it can you wav files or sound fonts. flams are available. $400 but IMO worth it

I just make drum and bass tracks with my yamaha keyboard which I plug into my soundcard.

Reason and FL studio etc are cool too.
Miracle Blade 4: Gibs on touch.

If you really wanna do some decent sounding bed tracks I'd suggest first of all getting a decent recording program like Cubase or whatever.
Then invest in a couple of VST synths like Plex or X-Phraze.

Once you have those, you can pretty much write any song you want just by clicking a couple of buttons.

Like... this one was done with X-Phraze just by painting in a one midi note:

All the drums, bass and synths are played by the instrument.

On this one, I just did the same sorta thing but added guitar and bought a Dance Drum Loop from PLP.

Basically, just hit the keys.. then add the guitar and a few sound effects and loop the drums:

This is what the original sounded like.... again, it was just holding down a few keys:

The whole song took less than 30 minutes to write & ended up getting nominated for best song at JPF.

This is the original with the
