Greetings to all of you englishmen here... Just in case you haven"t seen the game yesterday... CROATIA-2, England-0... :D
Hehe, couldn"t resist it... But we were far better, it would be fair to admitt.
I was kind of surprised how bad your team played... You will have a hard time
making it to European championship if you will play like that...
AAAAAAAAnyhow, we were better... ;)

2 words.... the second one is 'off'.... :D

Yeah - England are a crappy football team. We must have been to lose to Croatia.... That second goal was hilarious though - ball bouncing over the goal keeper's foot and straight in the net.... :o

I think the reason is that the media here are so harsh on the players that it encourages them all to play as individuals - loads of selfishness etc. If you watch them in the premiership, they are all very skillful players - but as a team they stink.

You're right.... if we play like that, we're not gonna qualify. I suspect we'll do what we do in every tournament - get through the group stage and then get knocked out by an average team in the quarter final.

I expect to be talking like this in 30 years time too....

Hey!! Two words... the second is off... :p Don"t dwell on it. Yeah, as individuals your guys are better, but as a team they suck... But, I think we again have this great generation that could get us far... like "98 in France...
We were third then. Dunno. Maybe you should ask Mr. Spice Girl back :p
Hehehehe...

I think we possibly should... Beckham may be a bit past it, but he inspires the team and is at least a threat from set-pieces...

I get the real sense that I could do better. I know we all say it, but your goal keeper didn't even have to make a save until the 91st minute! Even if I'd just blasted the ball from the halfway line at the goal it would have been progress.

In the media here, all the blame is falling on the goalkeeper - I think if it hadn't ben for him you would probably have beaten us 25 - 0....

They used to talk in the UK about our 'great generation' and how we were going to win the world cup. My advice based on that? Don't get your hopes up...

Soccer. As in footbal. Croatia (I am Croat) is in the same group as England in qualifications for european championship. We beat them 2:0 although they vere favourites and have better players. (It is the truth, although it is hard for me to write it :( ) Hey, maybe the reason you don"t know what we are talking about is the fact that the states are even worse in footbal than england... hehehehe!! :D
Sorry. Couldn"t resist it. Damn, I am glad we beat England.

I think he should... but he won't. Having dropped Beckham so publicly (as a stunt really to show how he's making changes) he'll never admit he was wrong. And bringing him back would be an admission.

If Steve Mclaren was any good as a manager, we wouldn't have been so crap with Sven in charge and him as #2 - we've already seen what he's capable of.... the man for the job is now in charge of Aston Villa. Look forward to another few years of crappy 'football'.
