The North Atlantic is about 300 yards from my flat - you can always tell - it's always freezing cold.

I was looking at Ontario on the map - what sort of temperatures does it reach in the Winter ?

It does get damn cold. We've hit -36Celcious this winter...It was below -40 with the wind chill.

The summer it gets to around 36 on the hottest days.

Wow, that is cold - i was curious as, The British isles is a similar lattitude to Canada. but not quite so close to the North pole, also the Gulf stream helps to keep the UK warmer.
Scotland is the most northerly point and gets to about - 15 in winter
We get into the low 30's in the summer.
But usually it's damp and cold, the heating is on for about 8/9 months of the year.

Nope... it's football. They only call it 'soccer' in the states because they use football for the game they came up with based on rugby, which should probably be called 'handball' or something.... :rolleyes:

I think it's only called 'soccer' in the US, and maybe Japan...
