I quite like 'em....
As they are bigger, I find it easier to keep my grip loose - I've always been guilty of holding the pick too tight.
They're good for sweeps too - no flex at all.
I use all sorts of picks without really noticing, but these are good - jazz IIIs were too small for my shovel hands....

meh, 3's get a bit rediculous though. as they cant be easily used for much more than insane metal stuff. (keyword "easily")

I ise RT 126 picks by Clayton the are made from Acetal and are awesome for sweeping!

Thickness is more important than shape, Anything heavy will help speed come easier with more clarity, better tone and more percision...when used effectively..

...I used those for a while and they're great but i found that because they come to such a sharp point i'd get string noise from them on the wound strings. I couldn't sweep to great with them either.
Anything lower than the 3.o's was very 'clicky' when I used them, and the groove in the pick forces your thumb farther from the end of the pick than it should be for max efficiency.

I alternate between the Big Stubby 3.0 and the Dunlop gel heavy (the red ones)...
while somethings are easier with the 3.0...i find that you definitely hear a difference in attack...the heavies give you that snap and the flex of the pick actually helps with staccato playing as the pick takes on some of the work , especially while palm muting...with the 3.0 I find it harder to palm mute since there is no reaction from the pick itself..and this actually causes me more stress on my wrist...but the 3.0 gives you a smoother, rounder tone.

I'm using 1.10. So, could it be that it's too thin? It sticks to the strings most of the time when I play (alternate picking of course) a bit faster (and it's not real shred 'cuz I can't shred fast enought), and I play western acoustic, the strings are thicker and I think they're also a bit harder than on classical guitar.

I have been using the Jim Dunlop yellow GELs for quite some time. I really like em. Give em a try. I don't know the thickness cause I'm too lazy to measure them, and for some strange reason, the thickness is not displayed on the pick. I'd guess 1.5 mm but don't quote me :D

Yeah the Gels are pretty cool too, I personally prefer the shape of the rounded triangle picks (as stated earlier) but I forgot how the Gels were also cool..
