Does anyone know where I can find a good quality momentary pushbutton that i can use as a killswitch? I tried Radioshack but they only have cheap plastic ones that I feel would break. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Why not a switch instead of the button? They also sell the switches that when you flick them the other way they don't stay there, they go back unless you hold them there....kinda like a button, but mouch stronger.

What, might I ask, do you need this for? We could help you out some more.

I'm putting a killswitch on my guitar. Most people use toggle switches or mini switches as killswitches, but i like pushbuttons. You could tap a button on and off faster and easier than you can a switch. So if anyone knows of a place where i can find a good quality pushbutton please let me know. Thanks.

That might work.

Yeah, that would work, but I was looking for something that came up a little more like this http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062540&cp=&origkw=pushbutton&kw=pushbutton&parentPage=search but I want something a little stronger these look as if they would break quickly.

Yea, I've used them for not guitar realted things and they're pretty flimsy. Try google-ing electronic button switch or something like that and see what you get.

Try Digi-Key or Mouser in the USA.

If you can't find it there, it's not made :)

I wanted to achieve this end result, but without modifying my guitar. I bought a planet waves connector for my cable with a kill switch built in. I don't know the tech term, but it is supposed to be push to engage, push again to switch back, but I basically broke the switch so it stays off unless you're holding it down - that way I can use it for buckethead style staccato....

Just in case it helps....
