here's a altered dominant funk vamp in C..."Stink Foot"
This is a little tribute to the genius of Mr. Frank Zappa ...

Are you sure this is not the new song from Satriani????

Just kidding!

Great feel to it! I like the 'off-key' notes that are sprinked around.

Cool stuff :)

Cool. How you get that tone? It's cool the almost phrygian vibe it puts out.

Nice signature by the way.

The guitar tone is my old strat into a Mesa Boogie triaxis and 2:ninety rig into a 4x12 cab with 25watt greenbacks in it.
As far as the solo goes it is a combination of scales. The super locrian, minor pentatonic, chromatic, and diminished half/whole. Those scales work great over altered dominant chords.

I quite liked the lead stuff, but I found the backing so busy that I almost had a seizure! :D

Perhaps it's more of a reflection on my capacity (or lack thereof) for Jazz than it is on your composition....

I like your sound though dude....

Great work, man! There were some awesome licks in there, and you have a great style; reminds me of John McLaughlin, my favourite player . I really liked the way you used rhythmic alt-picking phrases over the backing. I thought maybe you used a little too much delay for such a funky track, but it was more than made up for by your playing.
Great! Hope to hear more from you.
