The guitar tone is my old strat into a Mesa Boogie triaxis and 2:ninety rig into a 4x12 cab with 25watt greenbacks in it.
As far as the solo goes it is a combination of scales. The super locrian, minor pentatonic, chromatic, and diminished half/whole. Those scales work great over altered dominant chords.
