My hand hurts. Two day break. I need to fix that funky compressed sound. I'll get to it later on today. I need to sleep.

Got some nice ideas in there. Re: the compressed sound.... what was your effects chain/set up? Also, I like the idea of the electro drums, contemplating going that way myself - makes things a lot more 'progressive' and different. Only negative was 4 notes in the entire track that seemed out of key, a very minor problem though (easily fixed). Good job especially after one night of recording;-)

With the compressed sound I shoulda just left the mix alone after I q'd it but I was suffering from sleep dimentia so I added compression from my pc. All I used on this was my Betsy, a Boss OS-2, and a L6 SpiderII. It has a bit of noise and the compression just brought it up a notch something I should have accounted for. I'll fix it. I had better takes but after a few hours I had to finally quit.

Not bad and interesting musical ideas in there. My constructive criticism however, is this:

If you plan on making this an instrumental track then I would try to make the melody sound like it started at one place, has movement and direction, and then arrives at that destination. Right now it just sounds like a real long excerpt of a solo from a Vocal song and it's traveling in circles. Of course....maybe thats what you were going for, since your still working on it I dont know.

Yeah your right if I keep it up like this with the different parts it'll end up being 9 mins of pentatonic crap. What I was going for here to begin with was probably a strong 45 sec to a min intro. I was just wondering if the song had a nice melody/ feel to it.

Yes, it has a nice melody and feel to it :D
