Ok, so it is a dumb question, I know. But, then again, I never said I was a bright guy.
Anyhow, i have been trying to play this and i just cant seem to get it right.
You know in cartoons, when i fine looking woman passes by, they whistle this sound. You know what i mean. (I hope so, at least.) Ok, dumb as it is, I would like to get that sound on a ugitar. But, i cant figure it out. I know i should slide from "nowhere" to a high note. then a little lower note, then another lower. (Sorry if this sounds stupid, but i cant explain it better.)
I cant seem to get the notes. Or the way to play it, for that matter. Should I slide with finger? Use a slide? Should i bend? Use a tremolo? Dunno.
Any ideas?

P.S. Told you it was a dumb question! :D

LOL! :D

Try this: slide very rapidly from the 4th fret on the high E string to the 19th fret. You don't have to be exact--just lift your finger up as you get close to it. Then slide from the 2nd fret on the B string to the 14th fret and back again. You don't have to be exact for this either. Play around with it and you'll get it. ;)

Ok, tried it. That is "bout it. Although, the slide from b (h in croatia, just so you know) sounds better when you slide it up even higher. And i added alittle wah to it, is sounds really nice. Ehm, next time i am at a gig and cute woman passes by... :D
Thanks Mark!! Really helped me out here!!

HA! well, you gotta handle things diplomatic way. Tell him that it is actually a compliment, and he should be happy that other guys whistle for his girl, cause he"s got her, and you dont. And he should buy a round of beers for enlightninig you gave him. Then make friends with him and in time, take overthat cute girl!

Probably best if you think of it as a ninth chord rather than a seventh. play a normal E9 and then flatten the 5th and 9th a semi tone - easiest if you barre

Maybe also worth starting new posts so people know you're not talking about wolf-whistle noises... :D

I usually do it on the 3rd then 4th string, then sometimes on the 4th then 5th. All depend on my mood really.
