graduation
Is it really that weird that I didn't go to graduation? I know it's unusual, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I went to visit two of my main men (teachers) and they were upset that I didn't go. Also, a few of my friends were actually pissed at me for not going. I like abrupt endings, that's why I didn't bother going to the senior banquet and all that sentimental stuff. It just makes it sadder to leave.

Next year I'm graduating, and I sort of don't want to go for the same reason: it'll make me sad I'm leaving. However, grad will probably be the last time I ever see most of these people, so I'm gonna go for that reason alone.
If you already had grad and you didn't go, then there's really nothing you can do about it. It's your own choice to make, and if people are mad at you for making a choice that isn't theirs, then people are dumb.

Nobody should be mad at you for not going. I will go just because I want to have one last time with these people before I never see them again, but I don't care if they don't come, that's up to them.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.

I don't want to go to my graduation either, or even to my Year 12 Formal (I guess that's a "prom" in non-Australian English :o :D). I think it's just that doing something like that for school just wouldn't mean much to me. On the other hand, it could just be that I'm weird, which, knowing me, is a significant possibility.
But I wouldn't worry about it, in any event.

I graduate on the 17th, but the only thing I don't like about it is that its going to be hot out and I hate sittin there in the heat listening to people calling names out.

we're indoors so the only thing i don't like about it is rehersal and saying goodbye and buying expensive gowns then hearing the valedictorian give a speech that should be me cause i took harder classes than that person so that person's grades were higher.
other than that, i'm fine with graduation.

I definately won't be going to my prom next year. I serioulsy don't want to go to grad either. I'm sorry but it just gets so gay. They'll try to make everyone cry and feel s***ier that they have to go and play creed songs and good riddance by green day. I loath when moods are fabricated like that.

I think it depends on what your experience in school was like. My graduation was held on my birthday, so I went off partying with friends instead. No biggie. That was 36 years ago, and 2300 miles away. There's very few people from my graduating class that I would recognize by now anyway.
