I heard that (AOL) users could'nt go to alot of,
guitar sites because they only let thier user's go,
to sites that they approve or something like that.
Is this true if so your missing alot of good guitar sites.

I don't know about that, but I can tell you that AOL has been scientificly proven to suck.

program that was called Deskmate that looked alot like,
Windows. The modem in thier computers had a screaming,
1200 baud rate modem in it, fast huh.

I remember writing a clock program in BASIC on a Tandy back when I was in 7th grade. Far cry from the PowerMac G4 733 I'm running today.

YOu have a G4 733? I have mac jealousy!
THough my G3 233 is still quite nice, and I have a good monitor and great Bose speakers, I love the G4s. I remember when Civilisation first came out, and we still had a Mac Plus, Civilisation took as much Hard Drive space as the Mac Plus without any software on it: 20mb!
In early high school I used to write music in basic for other people's games, I became quite requested for a little while. My best works were covers of tunes from Star Wars.

The only pisser about this computer is the original hard drive died with over 20 gigs of digital video (most of which consisting of my band live) on board. Lost it all. But the fact still remains... THIS COMPUTER TEARS THROUGH DIGITAL VIDEO.

Sorry, just couldn't contain myself. Oh, and by the way, I still miss my 8600/300 quite often.

ouch. Ouch very much.
I've never really had anything like that happen, but this computer is getting grumpy with being moved from college to home everyt holidays, with all the network settings cahnging. Everytime it takes about three days to get back together.

The word for the Apple service folk is that ATA hard drives are more likely to fail than SCSI hard drives. Something to keep in mind since virtually all of us are using ATA (aka IDE or EIDE) hard drives. Back up folks. I wish I did... not that I could have backed up 20 gigs of video... but that's another story.
