I don't know if threads about concerts are supposed to go in the Open Discussion forum or not, but here it is anyway:
I'm going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers on September 20th.
Yesterday someone at school told me they were comin' to town, so I immediately e-mailed my cousin Heather, who has taken me to the two other concerts I've been to so far (Van Halen and Pearl Jam, in that order). She said she'd get us some tickets, and I was extremely excited.
Then today I was at work, listening to the radio, and I heard that tickets had gone on sale today at 10:00, and sold out before 10:30 came around. My heart just dropped. I thought there was no way she would have been able to get them.
But apparently, she did. So that's pretty awesome. Apparently they've never played Winnipeg before, so that should make for a real good show.
I am happy (momentarily)

Awesome! Let us know how good the concert goes. I found out the day I moved back to Houston that vai was playing that very night at the woodlands, which is about 40 minutes away. I was so bummed out.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

Nice one, Earthman! It ought to be great, apparently the Chillis rock live.

I'm so jealous I could cry.
In grade 8, me and my friends wanted to go see them. My mom even said we could. Then my dad said i couldn't. I cried.

Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

Check this thing out. It shows what your view is like from various sections of the MTS centre in the 'Peg.
Click on me.
Click section 222, that's what my view will be for the Peppers.

When I first read this I was, to say the least, bloody confused. "120 pound tickets!?!?", I said. "Those are some heavy, heavy tickets!" I went on to ponder whether I should bother sharing this with you, decided it was pretty lame, and then decided I had nothing better to do anyway. So yeah, I wanna go to that concert, jerk.
You go outside and practice screaming. We'll play music while you're gone.
