:) Yeah, I like Damaged One - I mean, DAMAGED ONE - and his caps, I think they're great. But I can see where the rest of you are coming from, they can be a little confronting if you're unprepared for them!

It's not just the caps, it's just hard for me to respect a name like that, you know? I think it's just easier to make friends with a more catchy nickname that isn't so confronting. No offense to you personally of course.
Like if I had made my name to THE WOUNDED, or something, I doubt if I'd have got much respect on the forums. I could be wrong of course.

I think we've had this conversation before with newbies.
Some guys come here from other newsgroups and automatically assume that guitar groups are all the same. (you know... those guitar groups where everybody acts like jerks and says everything on their minds just to apear to be cool or whatever.... )

Think of this place like an upscale club where everybody is welcome to talk about just about any subject. Just don't trash the place or act like an ass and you'll get along great here.

Be mature but at the same time, feel free to have fun and make dumb jokes when the occasion deserves it. Just don't overdo it or act like a dick all the time or you'll get banned and have your IP blocked.

Most of all .... READ THE FORUM RULES AND FOLLOW THEM!!!!!

Yeah, sorry about that. I looked it up just now, and it said that it's been attributed to both Leadbelly and Armstrong, so I edited my signature accordingly. :)
