I figured once I learned this sharing was the only way to go. I hope this isn't redundent or anything.

Yesterday, I was recording about 15 tracks of chords, though it was just 5 patterns at differing tempos. However, I was having some trouble keeping the exact tempo. The trick I used was rather simple. First memorize the pattern and play it to your metronome. Then load up your recording device while keeping the metronome on then recording you playing with it. I realized how off I actually was due to the distance of the actual metronome. I was only a fraction, but when practicing, it's best to be accurate. Once I recorded myself with the metronome, heard where I rushed or dragged and adjusted it. After a few recordings I was finally in time.

To advance yourself, you can try doing the upbeats with the metronome clicking the down beats and record it with that.

I hope this helped and wasn't just a waste for everyone.

Right-on. I would highly recomend practicing with a metrenome because when you do deside to record, it is no big deal playing in time.
