bored with the fret board
I see all these ads about the new magic fret board techniques. Unfortunately i don't have the $29.95 to find out, Anyone out there know the magic formula and would you share it with an eager to learn guitar beginner? Thanks

What do you mean by "magic fretboard techniques?" Are you talking about fretboard maintenance? Memorizing the notes? Learning scale patterns?

I looked into one of them websites to see what was up then got my money back. It was the dumbest thing ever, they help you memorize what note (ie, g, a ,d ...) is where on the fret board. The only way to play fast and get good is to practice.....you can save yourself the 30.

All of those "learn guitar fast" ads are a heaping load. They remind me of all of those "lose weight fast" infomercials. If you want to lose all the extra weight it's going to take time and effort. Guitar works the same way. There are no miracles, only people that have the patience and will to make it happen with what they have. If anyone thinks that learning guitar is too hard or whatever can talk to this guy.

i dono if this is magic, but the way i memorized the fretboard is by playing in the dark. alot of clubs shine the light right at your dace so you cant really see, so i decided to always play in the dark And yes i can play fine in the dark, no difference at all, until the tapping begins but i am a lil rusty with the tapping these days. i am gettin old
When it comes down to it, our guitar's will always be there for us. :rolleyes:
