Guys/ Gals,

I have just made the switch from electric guitar to acoustic, now I am finding that my barre chords sound dead, is this a normal occurance?

Also I find that when playing a chord progression that involves open and barre chords it takes me a while to switch chords, any top tips to improve my speed would be greatly appreciated!!!

Rock On!!

Thanks folk

Matt

quite a few people have this problem, it is due to the fact that acostics have thicker strings and the action is usually worse, so it is normall. the reason some people dont find it hard is they learnt on an acoustic and developed more finger strength. sadly all a can say is press the chords down harder and practice them, eventually your fingers will get stronger.

Thanks for the response Fret Spider dude!! That was the answer I was expecting, like all instrument playing I guess there is no immediate fix, or cheat etc!!

Practise Practise Practise, and then Practise some more!!
