I was surfing around on "Brasswind/Rockwind" (online music store) and I stumbled across these two interesting specimens (see the next post for the other one).

Well...

1. They look pretty dang wild! I must say I've not seen anything like these things.

2. I absolutely positively adore the Bigsby Tremolo, far more so than Floyd Rose or anything along those lines.

3. Doesn't cost a bazillion jillion dollars like, say for instance, a 'Black Beauty' Les Paul or a 'Tuxedo' SG with A) not one not two but three humbuckers and B) a Bigsby.

4. I dig Gretsch... I really and truly do... and they frequently come with the Bigsby... but I prefer full-size humbuckers to "mini-humbuckers" and wouldn't want to rout it out and do all this weird stuff to replace mini-humbuckers with full-size humbuckers. If and when I get a hollowbody, however, it'll be Gretsch all the way.

So then... does anyone have any experience or knowledge of or with Eastwood guitars?

Just wanna make sure it's not a turd in a pretty dress.

Well, okay... 'pretty' is subjective, but you get the picture. :D

that first guitar was an Eastwood re-make of a Montgomery-Ward Airline...like Jack Black Uses.

Eastwood guitars take very hard-to-find vintage guitars and make "copies" of them...very exact copies...it makes it possible for everyone to own a guitar that in essence, not many people could have before.

I quite like them...obviously I would prefer an original...but I'm not about to find one of those in the classifieds of my local newspaper!
