Hmm...I have a several but this would be a good band!
I've always been a fan of the triple guitar attack approach.

Lead/rhythm guitar- Joe Satriani
Lead/rhythm guitar- Steve Vai
Lead/rhythm guitar- Slash
Bassist- John Paul Jones
Drums- John Bonham

Vocals- Ronnie Van Zant (skynyrd)
Vocals- Gregg Allman (allman bros. band)

That would be a kick ass band!
I am Comfortably Numb... :D

Oh yeah...STICK IT TO THE MAN!

Steve Vai playing rhythm to somebody else's lead? I didn't think his ego would allow that!

Here's my dream jazz band:

Vocals/guitar: George Benson
Lead Guitar: Wes Montgomery
Trombone: James Morrison
Piano: Chick Corea
Sax: Ornette Coleman
Bass: John Patitucci
Drums: Billy Cobham

And here's my dream metal band:

Vocals: Geoff Tate
Guitar 1: Dave Mustaine
Guitar 2: Chris deGarmo
Guitar 3: Adrian Smith
Bass Guitar: Paul Romanko from Shadows Fall
Drums: Chris Adler from Lamb of God
"It's all folk music... I ain't never heard no horse sing!"
- Attributed variously to Leadbelly and Louis Armstrong

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

Hmm, I reckon Dream Theatre would be better off with a different singer, actually... Geoff Tate would do a good job, but he's already in the best progressive metal band in the world :p

Have each one of them trade off rhythm and lead! I've seen Satch, Vai and malmsteen or eric johnson do it in the G3 concerts, it's cool!

Hence, Geoff Tate should replace him. No, even better - Dream Theatre and Queensryche should form a supergroup!

Vocals: Geoff Tate
Guitar 1: John Petrucci
Guitar 2: Chris deGarmo
Keyboards: Jordan Rudess
Bass Guitar: John Myung
Drums: Scott Rockenfield
