Hiya all, I am getting back into writing and recording music and was wondering what you think of my first effort (a little ditti in 7/4). I recorded it using a V-amp2 and a old Jem777.

Oh crap....I posted this twice.

My humble appologies - Mr Administrator.

Nice shredding! It was technically very good, but it would've sounded even
better with a nice loose riff and some low-slung bass in there. Good job :)
"It's all folk music... I ain't never heard no horse sing!"
- Attributed variously to Leadbelly and Louis Armstrong

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

Your very good bud. But I would suggest slowing down for some parts. It's easier to enjoy the shredding when there is a melodic line capped of with shredding instead of one ripping song. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents. Have a good one.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

I am starting to write more melodic - thought through (and less exciting stuff ) - instead of just blasting it at 1000 mph..

I really donwonnooo though :o

It really seems like all the best melodic stuff has already been done.

u obviosly have very good technique but if u used a better backing track u mite find it would open up more creative things to do in the solo. for instance u could outline the chords etc or u could change to harmonic minor at some points etc. anyway i felt it was very good technique but a bit formless. as has been said it mite help to start slower and then elaborate on the slower riffs making them more elaborarte

overall very good definitely faster than i could play
