my birthday's tomorrow and ive been looking for prs style guitars.

i found 2 good guitars but theyre both on clearance and limited quantity so i dont want to reveal them until ive made up my mind, in case they get sold out before i can buy one.

has anybody seen any good prs style guitars, 2 humbuckers, set in neck, 24 frets, carved top, no tremolo, for under $300? i dont care if its a no-name brand i just need a good guitar. i dont need a high quality guitar, but i dont want some crappy one.

please help if you can.

those are the 2 i found under $300

you know, i'd really go with the Agiles. you wont get better quality for that cheap.

actually i compared very detailed stats, and the red one's better than the agile.

the red one's on clearance, its real price is $309 but it got marked down to $240. that probably explains why its better than the agile.

but before i make a decision i want more choices, but i got until sunday-monday to do it and ive been seaching all over so i was wondering if yall have seen any.

and just what are the stats of the red one?

honestly, I've never heard anything bad about agile though, apparently these guitars sound better then guitars costing 3 times as much... from what I've heard anyway

i decided to hold back a week before odering, so here are the stats:

specs:
# This incredible guitar features a highly figured Maple Top on a solid Mahogany archtop body with striking Transparent Finishes! (black and wr is mahoganny only no maple top)
# There are wide and low dual cutaways along with a contoured top to allow access to the highest frets
# Two high quality wax potted humbucker pickups help reduce hum and noise and offer superior performance by giving a thicker fuller sound than single coils
# Humbuckers also create a much larger magnetic field, which helps eliminate dead spots and increases the overall power of the pickup
# The 3-way pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls are recessed into the body
# 24 jumbo fret Maple neck with adjustable truss rod and Rosewood fretboard with dot inlays
# The angled headstock helps increase the tension of the string on the nut and therefore helps transfer string vibration to the guitar for superior sustain
# Stop Bar Tailpiece and set neck also help transfer string vibration to the body for great sound
# GROVER tuners with 18-1 ratio for fine tuning
# Scale length: 24.7"
# Doesnt say the nut so i'm guessing plastic.

CAN ANYBODY LINK ME TO OTHER 24 FRETTED PRS STYLE GUITARS?

I believe agiles use graphite nuts on their low end guitars, and bone on their high end.

plastic nut isn't so great, if you do get the red one (what brand is it anyway?) you'll probably want to replace that nut. other then that, they both sound good. the red one has mahogany neck though, and a real 25" PRS scale length.

I dunno about 24 fret models, but Cort have some very nice guitars, similar to Prs's in the M Series...also check out some Vintage models...crap name I know, but one of the best manufacturers in their price range.

ok guys its gonna come tomorrow!!!! or friday. but anyway ill probably play it for a day to get rid of that "first time" feeling you get when you play a new guitar, and then i can give a pretty detailed review. ill also record something with both pickups and clean and distorted to give a good example of how it is.

but i can tell you now, if warm, lower output pickups are what you like, then get this guitar. if you like high output, if this guitar's good, just switch out the pickups.

what I want to know:
action; playability; neck shape (thick, thin, narrow, wide, etc.); sound with and without distortion; sustain; resonance; sound unplugged; comfortability sitting and standing; fret condition (sharp, smooth, tall, short, wide, skinny, etc.); ability to stay in tune; weight; neck heavy or not; overall quality

is that enough?
