Later in the evening
As you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
Ringing in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette
Rememb'rin' what she said

Well, it's one of the sweetest guitars I've ever had the pleasure of playing. It's a little late here to play it through that half stack so I'm playing it through my Boss GT-8 into my mixer and out my monitors. Trying not to wake the kiddo. It's very light, which I didn't expect from a guitar with a mahogony body. The tuners are smooth, the action is low, the neck is about like my Jackson's neck, but the schecter has a gloss black finish on the neck. The schecter also has a set neck, Jackson is bolt on. I don't the finish hinders playability though, some folks do. Not at my current level anyway. I have only had this guitar for a few hours but I am already attached to it. Like a long lost family member. The binding all the way around adds a nice cosmetic touch. It's got a five way switch and it has a sweet sweet tone. I'll give you more info later and some soundclips too.

What other guitars do you have?

If they're related, then Ibanez got screwed on the genetics. Perhaps it's the evil twin.

Ok, so I read in another thread that Cort makes both Ibanez and Schecter, so perhaps that could shed some light into why they look so similar. Or it could be complete BS and Ibanez is just trying to rip off Schecter because their guitar is priced $100 less. Dunno, but I have the Ibanez and the guitar just feels so damned good in my hands. I saw the same schecter yesterday at Sam Ash and was wondering what the heck was going on.

Disclaimer: I totally suck at guitar, only been playing 4-5 months and I've never played a Gibson, American Strat, or anything priced over $500.

hey, i have a $250 guitar, and it plays beautifully. just cuz the big names are way overpriced doesnt mean that theyre automatically way superior. (of course alot of the time it is, but thats beside the point.)

what im saying is dont beat yourself up over not having a big huge name guitar. its not always a bad thing.
everyone has their opinions and everyone [should] love their guitar, pricetag or no.

oh no, not beating myself up at all. In fact, my first electric was the Alesis X Guitar. I still love it!

X Guitar Review

Just wanted to say that me saying "feels so damned good in my hands" is relative since I've only been playing 5 months". That's all.
