1981 Peavey T-15
Pricing Information:
purchased from Ebay for 82.00
Pros:
3/4 size guitar, plays like butter, can do crazy bends, made in America,
great pickups
Cons:
All bridge pieces move together, can't individually intonate
low e string sometimes pulls off the neck at the higher (15 and up)frets
Review:
This guitar plays like butter, very easy to set up, wish I had better control
over the intonation but its very close. The pickups (Peavey Super Ferrite)
single coils are AWESOME, very responsive with my Fender Vibrolux. Great
SRV to Jazzy fat sound. I almost always use my neck p/u. So easy to play
with being 3/4 size. I have just bought 2 Peavey Predators which are the
full size strat copies. Can't wait till I get them. If they are half the
guitar this one is that will be great.
Summary:
Fantastic sound, great playing, even though this is a 1981 model, I got
on Peaveys forum and they answered questions I had about it. A great
USA made instrument at a silly low price. You will not be disappointed.

The jack is on the pickgaurd, they are prone to break, as you can tell I rigged up a piece (non-matching of coarse) to fix it. I bought some really nice tuning keys for it but just couldn't get myself to take off the original Klusons (sp?) I am refinishing 2 Peavey Preditors (Strats) now so I will probably use them on those.

I bought one of these babies little more than a month ago for $50.00 with the "Electric Case". I agree with you +3. This is a great guitar and those pickups need to be cloned and used on every guitar out there that comes with p 90's. This is what a P-90 equipped guitar "should" sound like.
I've got a recording of a T-15 by itself demonstrating something
jazzy on the neck pickup, something Hendrix-like in the middle
position and some Tele-Style , Chicka' Pickin' stuff on the bridge
if anybody wants to hear it. It's at my SoundClick site :)
Click over to my site to hear it. I kinda'
narrate what you'll hear on the mp3. Here's the URL:
www.soundclick.com/musicallymrm........T-15 Demo (click on the music link then
open "T-15 Demo") :) Hope this is helpful to someone
and let's you see how cool this little camper can be. ;)

Wow! That was excelent Mr. M! That guitar definitely has some sweet tones stored away in it. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye out for one of these babies.
BTW, glad to see you back on the boards, haven't seen you in a good while.

Great tone Archie. I do have a feeling that no matter what make or model guitar you play, the tone would be top shelf. Great tunes. All the best.
