Just ON.
I wanted a guitar with no volume or tone or pickup selector. Just on all the time. the guitar would have two P-90s and be grounded to the bridge. all thoughts welcome.

I'm curious as to why also? I can understand not having a tone knob, but everything else?

Mainly because i always have everything all the way up anyway. I also wanted the sound of both pickups and not just one. :D
I was also wanted to know how danelectro does its blower switch with three pickups. That is a wicked cool option.

Just set the pickup selector to both pickups.

If you have 2 humbuckers, the middle position IS both pickups. I think It is kind of stupid not to have all the volume and tone knobs. It's better to have them and not use them, than to just flat out not have them.

Can it be done though? no tone, no volume, no pick up selector, just on all the time. why waist cranking up to 10 when its already there?

You can have it wired the way you want it, anything is possible with that. But I'd seriously recommend at least keeping a volume knob.

I was just checking. I thought it could be. It would also be the easiest wiring ever. The only thing i was thinking of putting on would be a mini on/off switch, just in case it is crazy noise. which it might be. thanks gents for the help and thoughts.

Wow I need versatility. Volume is very important to me cuz I can contour the distortion.

Yep. I never even bother with tone knobs, always at 10. I use my volume knob to contour my tone also....

I use my volume as my onboard distortion control too...

I find the series/parallel does that for me, with the Volume and Phase controls for fine-tuning.

I usually use my volume knob for adjusting my tone as well. I don't mess with the tone knob too much but it's nice to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

I NEED switches. Your guitar will be very one sided. I can't understandwhy you wouldn't want anything on there. At the very least I'd say a switch and volume knob.

Because if i have the pickups i want in my guitar, it will crazy easy to wire, and it will have the exact tone i want. Balls out, just great sounding p-90s. Maybe an on/off switch. I asked an expert, and he said Gibson had done this with the nicki sixx bass. I am not a big fan of his, but he had it wired that way. I don't use a lot of distortion, and i dont use a lot of effects, maybe a wah here and there and a little reverb. But basically that is it. And if im going to have everything to 10 anyway, then why not have no knobs.
Again thanks for the help guys.

It would sound the EXACT SAME, as if you had all the switches! why not just have them! you don't have to constantly turn them to 0 and then 10 every time you play! Id definetly keep the Pickups selector switch. Seeing as how this is a very important feature in a guitar. If you want both pickups at the same time, just switch it to the middle.

If you play live, you'll need a way to smoothly turn off the guitar volume between songs too.

the only thing i would consider adding would be an on/off mini switch. The idea of this would be to have the full tone of the pickups and not running through anything. Does any body else out there agree with me that this isnt really a bad idea? Nothing on the tob of the guitar?! If you have a beautiful AAA Quilted top in Gretsch Orange on a Les Paul Double Cutaway? Can you see the beauty mates?!
