I was wondering if it would be a big deal to put locking tuners on my strat, and if that would help keep it in tune when using the whammy bar. Thanks.

It shouldn't be a big deal. Depending on the tuners, the holes drilled into the headstock may need to be drilled to make the holes a bit bigger for the new tuners...but I'm sure they make locking tuners that will fit the stock holes.

Oh yeah, it will help a lot in keeping your strat in tune.

not really, the strings slipping isnt really shat knocks them out of tune, its the streaching of the strings. your strings will still streach with locking tuners
Later in the evening
As you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
Ringing in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette
Rememb'rin' what she said

Yeah, but it's always a good idea to stretch new strings when re-stringing to prevent this. Once the strings are stretched out, they will be stable.

Locking tuners will help, especially when using the whammy bar.
