i love speed and i wanna be faster
i think, i know, you dont find speed just looking for i mean it comes to you workin with the metronome so i want some help to get speed without shortcuts like sweep picking or pull of or any legato technique ive been working on them but i see people like al dimeola and birelli or flamenco guitarrists playing so fast i work hard but i feel its not enough ill apreciate some help

Man, if sweep picking were a shortcut...I find sweeping the most difficult technique out there...

Yeah, sweeping was the hardest technique I've learned also.....tapping is a piece of cake compared to sweeping....

Agreed, sweep picking is by far the most difficult. When you have mastered alt picking, add another year of practice on top of that to nail sweeping down. If you want to get really fast, then practice alternate picking over and over and over and over (ad infinitum)... There's no shortcut, just years of practice.

you want to learn to sweep, eh? Well first you standup, grab the broom, and swish the floor with it, back and forth...back and forth... :D

get the lightest string gauge you can find and alternate pick like hell if you dont feel like learning sweep picking and using you gained chops like hammer ons and pull offs. maybe you can slide??? thats your only other option.
