i also have problem with 12th fret on the last string. when i stroke, it's touching the fret in front of it. i have problem only with this 12th fret on last string. can this be fixed. i heard that i need to adjust the curves of the neck. is this hard?
problems with cheap guitar
i bought a guitar and its edges on the frets are not finished (they are sharp). can they be rounded somehow?

take it back and see if u can swap it for one that you are happier with how cheap is it? from what iv read cheap guitars dont have truss rod so the neck cant be adjusted and if your very new to it i wouldnt bother trying yet.
As for the frets you could just file them to the right shape and for the 13th fret buzzing thats probably because the action is wrong and needs setting up properly.
If its a brand new instrument you could take it back and get the place you bought it from to set it up properly they should do it for free since it obviously isnt right

hmm...have you heard for hohner. i bought it maybe a year ago. it's like stratocaster. i was considering between this one and some gibson. i think the prizes were the same, but that gibson had one humbucker and no tremolo.

take it to a pro, there should be a tech at the shop you got it from who can do a set up on it. if not, ask them where you can find one. it needs the frets filed, the truss rod adjusted, and the action adjusted. fret filing and truss rod adjustments aren't exactly something to be taken on by an amatuer. I don't even try to do those myself.
the only thing is, the setup is probably going to cost you close to half what the guitar itself did. if it's been a year since you bought the guitar, then I doubt the shop would set it up for free. it's going to cost you, but it'll be well worth it. a setup can drastically improve a guitar's feel. a well set up guitar probably plays better then a poorly set up extremely expensive guitar. so it's well worth the money. (notice how I say it plays better, not that it would sound better)
