help wiring output jack on ibanez jem
my output jack died recentlly, im trying to put in the new one but i dont knbow which wires to put where. i have one main grey wire that has a thin white wire that comes out and also has braided metal (wire?) coming out. it was my understanding that of the 3 heads on the output jack the small one is the + and i dont wire anything to that, where do i put the other 2. any help would be much appreciated, ive already melted the carpet, hahah uh oh :(

The braid goes to the shell of the jack, and the centre wire goes to the contact that latches into the notch at the tip of the cable plug. Look closely at the new jack, and you should be able to see which terminals to use.
