Yeah, the pickguard is black.

I don't much care for the switches either, actually. I think they look pretty cool, but I don't think I'd ever use them. I hardly even change the settings on my amp.

Alright, here's a shape I invented I think is pretty cool. I did this for a school project last year. I call it a 'Fenson Stragbird SG' because I got the shape by combining pictures of a strat, a thunderbird, a jaguar, and an SG, which I feel are 4 of the coolest guitar shapes there are. If I was to have a guitar in any shape I chose, I think this'd be it.

Here's a rendering of a guitar I designed, and will hopefully have built in the next year or so. Can anyone guess what it's 3 influences are?

Ya'll are both correct. There's not much PRS influence except the 25" scale neck (wouldn't have known that by the pic) and the lower part of the peghead. Tele influences are seen in the lower part of the body and the control layout. The LP influences are seen in the upper part of the body and the top of the peghead. But, it was all drawn freehanded, so nothing is exactly like the originals... just influenced by.

My choice for "prettiest" guitar would be the Angus Young SG. It will also be my next guitar. Here's a look-see

Obviously, this pic has been messed with (Zoso decided to give me some hair), but I ain't proud - the axe is real, and it sounds at least as good as it looks.

You'll note that the neck-body joint is stronger than an SG, and high-fret access is better than on an LP.

I was thinking a Swamp Ash body with a tobacco burst finish, Maple neck with a natural feeling clear satin finish, and a Brazillian Rosewood fretboard. It won't be in production since it is my own custom design that I thought up and created (in cad that is). It will strictly be a one off, possibly built by David Myka.

That would be one heavey and tough guitar! Purple heart is rediculously hard to work with. It's sawdust looks cool though. Turns into a very deep violet color. Rosewood's sawdust smells like cappaccino.

Actually, I think it would be somewhat dead and bright sounding. Since it's so dense, I don't think it would resonate very well, thus decreasing the sustain. I could be wrong though.

i like the classical guitar models like strats and les pauls.
but i cant understand what is the thing about pointy gyitars, i just hate them
but if u have a ointy gyitar thats okay, this is only my opinion
and i just wanted you to know it beause i have nothing better to do
and no im way out of the subject and i continue to talk bad about pointy guitars. hehe, well i stop writing soon but i hav to say this one thing.
I CANT UNDERSTAND THE THING ABOUT IBANEZ GR GUITARS.
I BOUGHT MY IBANEZ GRX140 BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP AND SOUNDED OKAY.
