Need some info. about Pickups

Hey everyone....i'm thinking to change the pickups of my guitar, i was searching to know what exactly the pickups are and i'm kinda intrested in "Alnico V"....now i know that i have to change the pickups....but i'm not sure if its the right one to replace with....can anyone suggest any good humbucker pickup for rock style, and also the website where i can buy it from....and does all the pickups have standard size...? and does it comes in pair??...and offcourse is it easy to install??

Alnico V's are pretty sweet pickups. If you have humbuckers now then you can use any humbucker to replace it. Wiring is a matter of soldering and being able to read a wiring diagram. I like EMG's active pickups myself and did all the wiring on my Jackson myself. I found it to be not very difficult and very interesting. If you're not comfortable doing that kind of work, a tech should only charge you 40 or 50 bucks to install new pickups.

thanks man, I'm gonna buy a good guitar really soon...the guitar i have right now is not really expensive.....i'm thinking to do the wiring myself :) ...i just wanna hear the sound that what difference it makes ;)
