Hi i'm Aldo Vaccaro from Toronto Canada , have a Listen to some of my guitar work/song Writing and tell me what you think.
I've Finally finished my CD/DVD and would like some Constructive energy behind it. I'm using my own custom built guitar/pickup,which allows me to play multi guitar parts all at the same time. (you need to see it to fully understand)It's like advancing stanly Jordans technique of tapping and bringing it into a melodic rock music.

We've recently launched a website. You can download some video and mp3 samples of EVOLUTION at:

http://www.vaccaro.ca

My suggestions for videos are:

Light Years - Complex independent harmonies played at same time.
Violins - solo ballad
Caffeine - snippet if you like super fast guitar playing.
Ventura's cover - Multi notes & harmonics played with distortion at same time.
Performances of chopin Op66 & bach invention 13 done on a regular 6 string Electric guitar will also be posted in the new year.

My favorite vocal tunes are:

All Eyes
All The Rage
Two Minutes
& Parachute

The video popup links aren't working for me, either in Firefox or Internet Explorer.

That being said, the songs that play automatically off the little jukebox are pretty cool.

Do you ever play any live gigs around Toronto? I'd really like to see this for myself, in person.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Welcome to the site dude. Your tapping is quite impressive. Are most of your songs centered around this technique? I really enjoyed your take on the Venture's song. Hope you stick around guitar tricks.

Groovy stuff. Just curious if you're double tracking any of the solo's or doing the harmonies on a second string.
I'm also curious about your setup. I do a few chord tapping solos:

http://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=3317

.... and tend to lower the action, and use very light strings. Even then it requires some solid tapping to get the strings to sound. Are you using a compressor? Also, are you using a 'hair braid' thing wrapped around the open strings to stop them from ringing on.

btw: you should apply to be a host here on Guitar Tricks if you're up to it. I'm the only one on here doing tapping tutorials so it'd be nice to have a second person with some new stuff.

yes it's a hair tie , and i find it works better then any of those fancy metal dampers, there to bulky and usually block the first fret, no good .I do use a bit of compression you need to control the lower strings especially if you have a strong left hand.I like the action on my guitar higher even thou i tap alot ,this allows me to still play more triditional stuff too.As far as overdubs there's only a couple in the vox songs the rest of the guitar playing is done all at the same time.

I second all of the other positive reviews. Great work and a nice original style. I don't usually listen to that type of music but I found myself listening right through to the end of each track, well done Aldo!

Thanks for all the great comments.

A good place to start when your creating your own song is to take either a melody or a riff that's relativaly simple and has some kind of character to it. Usually a good riff or hook will stay in your mind for a good while. That's how you know its strong. I like living with the idea for a few weeks. If I notice that I keep playing that part, everytime I go to pick up my guitar and enjoy playing it, then at that point I start structuring a song. I look for a common way to keep the hook in the song - whether it be a verse or a chorus with lyrics and then at the point I like to let the idea try and develope itself as apposed to try to manufacture the song. I hope that helps and gets you started ?
Remember to have fun and if you have any more questions let me know ?

Aldo
