Another Newbie Question

Hello i am a complete Newbie to the guitar. I started playing 4 days ago. My question is that i cannot seen to look at the fret board on the guitar and pluck the right strings that i want to pluck. I was wondering if there was any tips on how to go about doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start slowly. It sounds like you may be wanting to go to fast at first. Once you learn something at a little slower speed it up a little and then more. After a while it will seem like your fingers just know where to go. Then you wont have to look at either hand.

If you've only been playing guitar for four days, it's likely that you've not got your co-ordination between hands; don't worry about it, just keep practising and your "finger-memory" will so come. Patience and persistence will soon pay off.

It took me nearly a year before I could play blind without having to watch what my hands were doing - but it'll come, trust me.

Definately don't try running before you can walk.

Good practice for hand coordination? Video games no bs.

One thing I used to do when I was starting off was to play the song with my eyes closed. Obviously this has to be done once you've got the hang of the song with your eyes open! But anyway I reckon this method increases your feel for the guitar. You know exactly how far to move you left hand and where to pick with your right hand without actually looking at the guitar at all.

Dunno what the other users will think of my suggestion but there we go! :D
