I think that with 9 people in a band you'd be able to make some better sounding music....but they prove me wrong. Only my opinion though.

I think that they have very unique guitarists. They do a lot of stuff that nobody has thought about.

U dont listen to Slipknot for great guitar playing and meaningful lyrics. Slipknot is about powerful drum beats and aggresive vocals. Its more of an experience than music. But wait for Iowa. There is some real guitaring in a few of the songs on there.

I like them a lot. The singer sings about real stuff. The guitars have good sounding riffs(especially the old songs that are rare to find). But overall they are a good band.

Slipknot bites the big one. I find the only people who like them arent very adept in music, even if they play an instrument. (I could be wrong)
And besides, any band that carries themselves on freaky makeup or with a mask or some other image is junk anyway, or they'd use music not appearence to make it big. The only excecption I can think of to that is Kiss. They went without there makeup for the entire decade of the 80's.

Yeah but I find that there are a lot of bands who are just riding on some stupid image. Theres a difference between doing the duckwalk or wearing a cowboy hat, and wearing weird masks and showing dead goats in your music videos.
I bet bands that depend on images as far out as that couldn't get by on just there music.
