Elitists...

I wonder how Nickelback writes their songs? The guitarist probably reaches into his bag of power chords and the singer's comes up with some pseudo-catchy verse that sounds infinitely more poignant than it really is. Viola! Another Nickelback song rolls off the assembly line as though it were made in Detroit.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

That's been a nice a trend for a while. Perhaps it's waning?

Doubt it. Apparently Creed came from Eddie Vedder's birth canal.
mmm...Delicious mocha coffee! Econ test, here I come!
That said, Creed, Nickleback, Alterbridge, Silverchair, etc. I doubt the trend is waning. People still want to sing like morons. Chad from Nickleback may very well be the worst thing to happen to rock n roll ever as my buddy Paul would say.

I listen to a pretty fricken huge variety of stuff. just yesterday I was listening to some alternative rock, followed by some jazz-blues fusion thing, followed by some electronica, followed by some old school hip-hop, followed by some metal (the good stuff, not korn or godsmack type of thing, I mean like lamb of god, children of bodom, opeth type of thing)
so, does that make me an elitist? I'll admit I occasionally listen to stuff like hip-hop or alternative and other stuff that takes no talent, but I also listen to the good stuff...

I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

and on a side note, it doesnt make you an elitist to listen to metal, jazz, or indie rock, or whatever. its music, dude. ive known some of the most mind-numbingly dumb people who listen to COB, and i know some real music virtuosos who have alot of respect for rap and alt rock elements.
