Im a small town White Boy just trying to makes ends meat!
Most overrated band ever???
Have to agree with U2. And I know I will catch some **** for this...But I never thought Rush was all that great either. Granted they can play thier instruments very well, but other then maybe 2-3 songs...I think thier song writing is boring twisty and all over the place!

Dude... No they do not. They are a kickass band and they deserve respect. Unlike all these other "punk" bands they have decided to strike out against the goverment and not be "girls private parts", which I admire ALOT. If there is any of that meaning left in punk it was definatley shown through there recent record.

Bands with political motivations that don't relate to them personally. The only band that I can think of that could possibly justify writing about politics is System of a Down. The guitar player's family all live in iraq. Reasons for writing his feelings about that into his music? Plenty. Greenday, however, is following a pop trend and putting stupid political ideas in their music for no reason at all. However, they do write some damn catchy music.

So your saying if I didnt have a person in iraq I would be following a trend by wanting to protest against the goverment?
Oh well, If they are following a trend they did make a pretty good record in the process :)

Van Halen after VH1 - I'm not saying they really suck after that, but Eddie pretty much blew his wad on their first record.

no one said oasis yet? i keep seeing them everywhere at the moment... very irritating.
and i have to agree with jfrick... the darkness suck donkys. its hard to believe that a band that has shamelessly ripped off almost every 70's band could still be such a load of old crap.
makes me want to burn things... :) :) :)
