Has anyone played any of the older Peavey guitars? I have a T-60 and a T-15 (3/4 size). They are both built like tanks, made in America, and have some of the coolest tones. You can get them on Ebay fairly cheap. Just wondering if anyone else has discovered these great guitars.

Nope, I haven't tried any of their older models, but I love the Wolfgang. I'm also interested to try the new models that replaced the wolfgang. I'm a big PV fan!

I've played a T-60 or two as well as some of their older basses from that period... definitely an interesting series of products.
If I had money to blow on such things, I'd probably have a couple because they do have a pretty cool vibe.

I've had a Peavey T-20 Fretless Bass that was a phenomonal guitar. I pawned it when I was really down and out once, but I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

My first electric was a Peavey package thingie. Can't recall the model, but it was basically a strat copy. It was a good guitar for the money, but it was just a starter axe. Learned alot on that bad boy, but eventually sold it to upgrade. I have nothing but praise for that brand, too bad they're not sold in more stores and sites though.

I read a article on peavey and how he is frustrated that people dont take his brand serious cuz hes not considered boutique. A give him much respect for standing up like that.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

I read something like that in Guitar Player, I have alot of respect for the company. If I remember, I think the article I say said they actually dont have any debt, thats impressive.

like I've said before, I'm a huge PV fan, and just because their cheaper, price wise, doesnt' mean they're not as good as any other big name brands (or some of the boutique stuff out for that matter). I'd put my Classic 50 or Triple XXX up against any Marshall or Mesa Boogie or whatever, anyday.

[FONT=Arial Narrow] After a mere thirty years on various axes, I decided to learn to play bass. Scored a lovely Peavey a few months ago and am actually getting rather proficient on it. Imagine my surprise when, after teaching myself half a dozen Doors tunes, I find that Manzarek played 'em with his left hand, on a keyboard!
Oh well.
I have been assured that, having learned on this gigandus Peavey bass, I'll be able to play ANY other bass, easily.
This remains to be seen ;)

My 5150 amp is the best amp I have ever had. It has much better tone then my Marshall avt150 had. The Avt150 is utter crap! Dont ever get one! Also..if anyone ever decides to go 5150...get the Sheffield Cabinet to run through. The voicing in those are out of this world with the 5150 head!
