An E-bay sale I came across
hmm...I dunno. It's unique, but I can't decide if I even like it. And it costs more than the '99 model car it's tributing.

When I saw the title "A $15.000 Fender", I was thinking Hummer H2.

Then again, that POS looks about as musical.

Which POS?

The H2 or the "Bling-o-caster?"

i don't think they'd look that bad if it wasn't for the 70's-color Mustang inlays that clash horribly with the chrome finish on the guitar and the utterly retarded Mustang badge. i don't think that it would necessarily sound bad, but, for $15k, you could buy an abominal tone monster that would blow the minds of all your guitarist friends, so... yeah.

it wasn't meant for real guitarists anyway. it was meant for collectors, many of whom only barely know how to play, and would never dream of using the thing to make music.

A guitar made without the intention of being used for music.... I feel a little bit more hollow now.

I kinda like it... but, if I had $15,000 to spend... I definately wouldn't get one, I would use that money on better things... sheesh, for that price you could get a Gibson Les Paul Custom, a JEM, a Mesa boogie triple rectofier half stack, AND a marshall TSL100 half stack... i think... let's check:

Gibson Les Paul Custom $3,000
JEM $2,100
Mesa Boogie Triple Recto head $1,700
Mesa Boogie Rectofier 4x12 $??? less then $1000 I think...
Marshall JCM2000 TSL100 $1,750
Marshall 1960A 4x12 $750
________________________________________________________
Total $10,300

so, basically, you could spring for ANOTHER $4,700 worth of stuff... get a full pedalboard, and build on that home recording studio. so, obviously, there are better things you could be doing with that money, rather then spending it all in one place...

Its better to buy the $13,000 Les Paul Jimi Page Limited Edition with
gold plated nut and inlays...........save the $2000 for a second hand BMW.

If I were to get a guitar that was chrome... I would get a Joe Satriani Ibanez. Just like the one that he calls "Chrome Boy". That's a sweet axe. I would also like one of his Cyrstal Planet JS's. But 15,000 dollars for a guitar is way too much money. The only thing that makes it worth that much is the fact that it's a limited run custom shop guitar. It doesn't mean it's going to sound better than a Squire (And my guess is that it probably doesn't). To chrome plate a guitar... it would need to have a hella thick finish. Which would totally defeat the tonal qualities of the wood. Oh well... I don't really care. I think it looks pretty sharp, I personally would never buy it. Not even if it were only 1000 dollars. I would just buy a nice, plain, old strat.

I'd get one out of the dumpster like SRV.

man, 3000 bucks is too much for a damn guitar. like, unless you get mesmorized by something in it, and you want it like you want a son, then i guess. but a guitar is a guitar. the magic is in the fingers, not the damn instrument.

Wow that is really ugly. But yeah I believe only collectors would want it, and judging by the 0 bids link, I would say even they dont have 15k to spend.

I could think of several things to spend 15K on. A FORD STRAT ain't one of them.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.
