Hey everyone,
Just a little about me.

My name- Ben
Age- 15

howlong I have been playing guitar- 5 months
Gear- Behringer electric guitar, behringer 15 watt practice amp, destortion pedal, and thats about it.

songs i know-
Metallica- Some Kind of Monster,
Blink 182- All the small things,
Deep Purple- Smoke on the water,
Black Sabbath- Iron Man,
Led Zeppelin- Some little thingie on the high E string,
Guns N Roses- some thing that goes from high E to B, and last but not least G, Sweet Chile O' Mine,
Ozzy Osbourne- Crazy Train/\
Pink floyd- Goodbye blue Skys, Corporal Klegg,
Cream- Not sure what it is called,
Heart- you know the popular one,
AC/DC- Thunderstruck, back in black, and one more thingie.
I know some scales also,
I know all of the chords,
I know power chords as well,
I can make things easily,
and I know America the Beautiful.

I'm asking for any tips someone can possible give me. ^_^

so, if anyone has any tips I'm up for knowing them.

I hope someon has some tips for me.

I know all of the chords,

Tip #2- Not yet you don't. Pick up some information on jazz chords, voicings, and inversions.

Tip #3- Learn more scales and modes, as many as you possibly can.

Tip #4- The Cream song you know is "Sunshine of your Love"

Tip #5- Heart has more than one popular song, but I'm going to assume you mean "Barracuda."

Tip #6- Push your limits by learning songs slightly too hard for you to sightread, but not so hard that you won't be able to play them with practice.

Try and variey your styles a bit more for instance why dont you try learning somethign like Mr Bojangles by Mr chet atkins. Try and learn 11 more songs which soley consists or fingerpicking not a bad way, and will improve your playing a whole lot.... And also just out of intrest Can you play all the solo's in the songs you have listed?!!!!!
Why doesn't my amp go up to 11, :(

heres the deal. dont start lead from songs, usually a downer when you practice a solo for a week and it still sounds like dog****. get a begginers book on lead guitar, i had one when i started playing, got it from my dad, and i still have it sitting with a stack of otehr books i still use. books like that can teach you easy lead parts that start from beginners roots and work themselves up.

get good and play guitar in a school jazzband or something. thats what i did. fun, but you gotta put up with band nerds. thats just the facts.
