alternate picking

hello, i've been playing guitar for like 3 1/2 years i think and i've been practicing my alternate picking alot but i still sloppy i can play some stuff clean but i just want to play smooth and clear and i practice everyday but i get frustrated any suggestions in how i can improve my alternate picking thanks :-)

Practice, Practice, Practice. Check out some web sites that would have some exercises. Practice, practice, practice.... thats the secret
