line6 POD xt live or boss GT8
i got an Ibanez RG1570 prestige with customized EMG81 and EMG85 pickups installed. i wanna get heavy sound n very good clarity, which one is better xt or gt8?

I had the same choice, and went with the POD... I preferred the voicings when I compared them in the shop, but then I had a POD2, and am used to how they work - perhaps I'm biased.
The XT live was also fractionally cheaper, so I couldn't fault it....
Have you checked both out? Just see which one you can dial in your sounds easiest / most reliably with. Also, the final sound will be shaped by your amp, so it might we worth considering that.....

i have a pod xt and i wouldnt have it any other way. gt-8 blegh im sick of boss distortions. download some rectifier and uberschall settings or soldano and your good to go. i just use a rocktron velocity power amp with a peavey {4 x12" 75 w sheffields} cab
