Hi there,
I bought a Traynor ycv80 2 months ago. This amp is brand new. For a week now, there is cracklings when I play. I had the same problem with another tube amp before, but I never had a clue how to stop the "pops". Anybody how to fix that?

Thanx in advance :)

Hello, devide and concour. What are the odds Two different amps would portray the same problem? BIG! You may be picking up some EMI RFI junk. Try a different guitar and a different house first. Get rid of all effects. Is the clean chanel just as bad as the dirty one? I can't use my blue voodoo at certin bars with certin neon beer signs. In the same place my sovtek MIG-50 is not noisey. You may have a bad ground or noise spikes. If push comes to shove take the amp back and try it again at the store. Or sell it and buy a sovtek MIG-50 or marshall.

my amps pop any and everytime an appliance comes on in the house, such as the refridgerator, microwave, washer/dryer, etc... At my drummer's house, I get these annoying humming spikes from time to time, but not at my house. I also tend to pick up more radio signals at my house than other's. So, it might just be your house.
