What's a good multi-track program for a not so state-of-the-art computer? (777 mhz, 10 gb). I don't demand much of its quality, just want to play around with some chords and such...
Are you calling Homer Simpson a liar?
Well we have attained a footage of him with his pants on fire...

Cubase has a lot of good programs.
You could also try ProTools.
There's a free version of ProTools on their website to try out.
It's limited to 8 tracks but otherwise is fully functional.

Only if they're gearing their product towards PC users. But since they work with any Mac I think they've got their priorities sorted.

the thing about working with macs is just that all macs are built the same...it's not like with pc's where you could have an intel processor or an amd processor or another brand and the motherboards are about as diverse as new york's population.

it isn't simply just that they like the mac os operating system over windows...there's a lot of variables.

....at least that's the reason the pro-tools rep gave me when i spoke to him.

I don't think I'd go around bragging about using pirated copies of recording software.
It kinda pisses off those of us who've spent thousands buying the real thing, not to mention the whole legal issue.
