Tofu isn't that awful if you season it to death.
My sister was a vegetarian for about a year (she had to go back to her carnivorous ways because it was making her sick not having protien), and I was being ornery one day and stole a bite of what looked like chicken and salad but was really tofu and salad. It took me a minute to notice the difference and once I did I have to say it wasn't that awful.

Oooh! You've had the Burnt at the Stake Tofu!? I'm very jealous, you know. Been asking around restaurants for it but nobody seems to prepare it that way. And when I ask I get the strangest reactions.

Tofu... tofu... who came up with that anyway? Tofu... just having one of those moments where a word sounds weird...
