I've only learned a bit by him, The Attitude Song back in 1984 and this excerpt from the other night. Other than that I've only listened to him. But I stumpled upon a few easy patterns that emulate his sound fairly well.

Here a bit of K'm Pee Du Wee, and then a bit of improv...

hmm...still doesn't work for me. Oh well. Hey, mind tabbing out those simple scales to imitate Vai and Joe? I'd much appreciate it.

Thanks guys. I'm currently working on a tune that is in that Lydian vien that Vai so loves to play in. I'll post it when I'm done...it may be a couple of weeks yet due to limited playing time. Thanks again for listening and commenting.
