When I first bought my Troubadour Nylon Acoustic, I noticed there was a lot of buzzing going on around the top fretz (obviously caused by low action).

Over time, I got used to the buzzing and have actually grown to prefer the buzz. I think it adds some spice to the sound. My friend was actually considering calling it Fret Buzz style.

I was just wondering, will listeners be bothered by the fret buzz as I was when I first starting experiencing it? I haven't played in public yet with my guitar, so I want to know if playing with fret buzz is the same as hearing it, etc.

What are your thoughts?

Well, you got used to it right? so if you prefer it, why would a listener not?
I reckon that it will sound "wrong" which can become artistic...
It really depends on how you use it man...although if there is a consistant buzz, you probably should raise your action or speak to a tech about it. you can get that buzz with a normal guitar as well, if you just manipulate your fretting fingers appropriately...
So I just wrote a rather lengthy reply without actually helping you at all, sorry man, I guess you'll just have to try and see if people take to it or hate it...

It depends. If it just sounds bad then don't do it. Flamenco guitars have really low action, they buzz a lot. But flamenco players, although they are good, don't care much for perfect technique or tone hehe, its all about the music itself. A classical profeessor on the other hand, would cringe at the thought of buzzing and bad technique. So just do what you like.
Practice 8 hours a day and God Bless you.
