Poke around on the net - you'll find that old Vox guitars had some unique features, some of which were not endearing.

£500 sounds to me like someone thinks he has a high-demand collectible - I'm not so sure. I'd be mildly interested in a Phantom, but not for more than £100.

I have a Vox es335 copy. It took lots of modification to keep it from being complete junk. New tuners, new bridge, new pups, new pots. I should have just bought and epi, j.Turser in the first place. Even 100 pounds is way to much imo. Play it though, it might be great. What I like about the Vox is that it's very light in weight, has a GREAT neck and nice retro styling.
