locking tuners

hiya,

im using a paul reed smith santana se and use whammy a lot. im thinking of getting locking tuners but what will fit? i've herd of sperzels and schallers. will they fit? whats the best? whats the advantages and disadvantages of them? i don't know much about locking tuners and stuff. help would be greatly appreciated :D

To find out if they fit, I'm sure you could call someone at PRS and ask. If the holes are too small, you can always makes them bigger to accommadate the tunres you're looking for. I do know that locking tuners kick ass! I have sperzels on both my electrics and they never go out of tune. It also makes restringing a breeze.

I have put Sperzel tuners on a bunch of guitars (LPs/Strats). It is not difficult. However if you are a bit nervous take you're PRS down to your local guitar shop and have them do it. They will charge you about 25 bucks labour plus the cost of the tuners and if they screw it up they are responsible for making good there botches !

Simply measure the peg hole and then look at the specs for the tuners you intend to buy.Since your just emailing them,you will get an answer anyway.. :confused:
